Laura is a mixed media visual artist based in East London.

Her practice is rooted in close observation and she is drawn to quiet details that often go unnoticed; light and shadows on skin, the intricate patterns of nature, textures on the wall of a building. Through her work, she seeks to hone a sensitivity to these moments and find beauty in the everyday.

Currently she is deepening her practice in three mediums: drawing, Japanese woodblock printing, and photography. Photography has recently become a central focus, allowing her to capture immediate impressions and explore how light interacts with form. Photography influences her drawings and prints, where she spends time refining lines and layers to convey a sense of stillness and tenderness.

Colour also plays a vital role in how she conveys emotion through her work, and her background in fashion taught her to see palettes not just as decorative elements, but as tools for storytelling. She brings this instinct into her fine art work, carefully arranging hues to evoke mood and atmosphere. By combining and contrasting the handmade nature of woodblock printing and drawing with the immediacy of digital photography, she aims to invite viewers to pause, observe, and reflect with her work.
